Why are we here?

Do you believe in destiny? Do you believe that everything you do was "pre-destined" and that you're just playing out you're part in the universe? Maybe you do, maybe you don't. Either way i will tell you what i think. I don't believe in God. I don't believe in destiny. But I believe there is something about the whole universe that we can't understand; not like there is another species is waiting in the corners of our universe watching our every move, but that there is some reason, some external factor, some reason to as to why the universes is the way it is. But, we'll get there slowly.

The only explanation we have right now, is that everything just happened by chance.

Imagine, if it were all random, it would mean that if there was even one small change in the whole freaking sequence of things and the result could be entirely different. In fact we are just the resultant branch of some ancestral action which could have gone either way. That is scary.

Lets break it down. It all started with the Big Bang and before it, there was nothing. Puff! The first matter came into existence. It spread, cooled, mixed, interacted and created some basic elements, laws, and matter. All these laws manifested, grew and created other more complex stuff. The process carried on forever. The end result: now, the present, everything and anything. It all branched out from one change, one action, one cause. So all the science and nature we see around us was a product of a string of actions that took place over billions and billions years of time. If we were to go back in time and change one tiny detail in the whole sequence, and well, even your wildest imaginations might not be enough to fathom how the present would've turned out.

So, here we are, a product of some action which could have gone either way. But why are we here? Is there a purpose to our exist? We have answered this question for ourselves time and time over through "the teachings of God", "nature's ways" and through science. But there is fundamental flaw which is common to all of them: they are all perceptions of human beings. That doesn't mean that everything we have seen, touched, heard, and experienced isn't true. It doesn't mean that Einstein's work was useless, or that all science is bogus. It just isn't the whole truth. It is merely one perception of the truth. But, then again isn't "truth" something we created?

So, I ask the most fundamental question. A question that is the source of our intelligence, our knowledge, our power - the question "Why?".

Why are we here? Why did human evolve so much and other species didn't? Why earth? Why not another planet? The questions are endless, so are the answers. In fact, the more specific the question is the better the answer. Try it. The questions "Why earth and not another planet?" has a better answer than the earlier ones. The truth is, there is no answer to this question. There is no true answer. Why is there no true answer? Because there is no truth. Why is there no truth? Because, truth is a human perception. A human creation. It never existed before us. Like God, truth was born was with the human mind. But why is "truth" so important to us? It is simple. It gives our existence meaning, significance and a reason. Something that is very important to our minds. Reason and meaning are the only two things that keep us from sinking into insanity, chaos and limbo.

If you are still asking "Why are we here?", well, haven't you learnt anything yet? Can you not see that that question can never be answered? You can travel to the deepest part of the earth, the farthest corner of the universe. You can go deeper into science, unraveling one mystery after another. You can peel the numerous layers of the onion, you may think that you reached the last layer, but even after the last layer, there is another layer, only it is more complex and alien than the earlier one. Mankind can try as hard as it wants, but there will always be something that cannot be explained "yet". We can go on for millennia, only to realize that all this time we were looking for something that was never there. The truth. It doesn't exist. It is all in our heads. It is all in our language. It is only our perception.

So why ARE we here? I don't know. We just are. The world is the way it is, because that's the way it is. We are the way we are, because "we are the way we are". Ice cream is the way it is, because Ice cream is the way it is. Justin Beiber is the way he is, because he is gay, and that is the way he is.

So the next time you find yourself wondering "why are we here" and you think about my blog, stop yourself right there, distract your mind and get on with your life. :)

Sorry for wasting your time. (Oh, by the way, time is a human perception too. I won't get much into that, because i can see you are already fucking you're mind with that.)

Where does it all come from?

It is said that we use only ten to twenty percent of our brains. I wonder what we could do if we could exploit the entire capacity of our brains? Can we read a entire book in a few seconds, and then remember every sentence from that book? Or will we develop new abilities? Maybe we will get new powers like in Heroes. But, I highly doubt that. In Heroes, these abilities are work of evolution;apparently, these powers are the next thing big in evolution. Maybe, maybe not. But i think evolution will more subtle with its work; we may not notice a change for a few more decades. But who am I to say anything, I'm no Geneticist. I don't know the exact science of evolution. I only know what I have learnt in my biology class and over the net. But nonetheless, I shall speculate.

So if we were able to utilize the full capacity of our brains, will we acquire new traits or new abilities? But, before we jump into that. Let's look at why we would need to use the full capacity of our brains. What circumstances would require for us to use the full capacity of our brain? Maybe, an apocalypse. But the then question arises "What kind of Apocalypse?" Natural Disaster? Epidemic? Anarchy? Or Alien Invasion?
I don't think a natural disaster would do the trick. It would be too quick. We will need something that lasts long enough for our genes to mutate and bring about the desired change. Natural Disaster will just wipe out most of humanity in a matter of days, though, the ensuing natural conditions, if they are different than the earlier conditions, might bring about a slow adaptation to the environment in the surviving humans (if there are any left and they are able to sustain their continuity, which I guess they will once they adapt). So I don't think that really helps us now. It is too slow, and we just become Humans 2.0.

How about an epidemic? A virus or a parasite infests itself in the largest available food source - Humans. The whole of humanity is affected, and the human body may experience a change. There will definitely be a change, but wouldn't that be a forced change? Isn't the virus forcefully bringing about the changes in the human body it requires to survive? But, we are looking at a change in the gene that would help in boosting our pre-existing traits So, would it mean that virus is not the answer? Well, I would say don't be too quick to jump to conclusions. What if we are infected with a deadly virus(something which we can never become immune to), which kills most of humanity, but leaves out a certain amount of the population. Suppose, this remainder of the population is able to sustain itself for a decade or so, by which time the virus has spread to everyone left, but it is not that deadly anymore and the body has found a way of using the virus for improvement or restructuring of the Human design (of course it would mean that the body also finds a way to give the virus what it needs to survive). Now, if it is improvement, then one of the possibilities could be the higher brain power, which in turn could mean increased abilities or higher functioning of the pre-existing traits(basically super humans). On the other hand, if it is restructuring the human design, then it would mean the birth of a new species and maybe they will have much higher brain power or they might end up having none(It is unpredictable, way too many factors and variables too even consider). Either way, it doesn't matter to us, humans. We are interested in acquiring higher brain power while we are still humans. I guess, 'improvement' is beneficial to us. Let's note that and put it aside for now.

What's next? Anarchy. Come to think of it anarchy will follow any apocalyptic scene. So it is really quite useless in our present conversation. I guess it was a Random Neurotic Discharge. Moving on.

Alien Invasion. Now, if the aliens who decide to invade our planets are dumb fucks who haven't done their homework about our planet and come here just choke in our atmosphere while they are invading, well then, they are not much of a challenge and they deserve to die. If we get the SUPER (heavy emphasis on super) intelligent beings which can actually predict the future by taking into consideration all the factors, and i mean ALL the factors, involved in shaping our future and computing the data and know our every move in the future, and if they plan to suppress our species just for the fun of it, then, we are FUCKED. We might as well rip our brains out and let these beings use us as puppets(well i guess they would do the same even if we had our brains, because our intellect holds absolutely no value compared to theirs).

But, what if we got the middle guys? The ones who have done their homework about our planet, made elaborate plans on how to invade our planet and also on how to use us later on for their own stuff, but not SUPER intelligent . For conversation's sake, lets say they are successful in invading earth and have enslave mankind. Maybe that they have reached their maximum potential and cannot evolve further(don't ask questions! just imagine!). I guess then, humanity would stand a chance, as we have the ultimate weapon at our disposal - EVOLUTION. As we are enslaved, it is quite possible that many humans can find their way into these being's lab experiments and research, as test subjects. Infact, lets make every single human a test subject. So, these beings would be testing on us humans, pushing us to our limits in all possible areas, almost killing us, but not. At the same time, sustaining our bodies with perfect care.

Lets say they go about it for decades and maybe centuries. Constantly stretching our limits. Soon, it is inevitable that evolution will start working around the threat, you know, silently and subtly working on enhancing human abilities to their maximum potential but making sure it is not too evident. Since, I'm giving the humans a few centuries of enslavement and very close interaction with these beings, I can say that our minds would slowly evolve to understand these beings, study and analyse them, very secretly, to a point where we have figured out how to overthrow these beings. In the meantime, evolution is working its magic and perfecting humans to be completely invincible to the present threat, the invaders. All this slowly building up to a point where the ultimate evolved state is primed and ready, waiting for a trigger to orchestrate the ultimate uprising designed by nature. These beings will never see it coming, and humans will prevail and blah blah blah blah.....earth regained, humanity back on top of the things and all that blah. But, my point being here is that humans would have evolved to such a state as to use the full extent of their brains and also be able to sustain such massive energy usage.

This is another circumstance where we can reach the maximum potential of our brain. So, now we have two scenarios where humans evolve into super beings. Now, how about we merge the two scenarios? .........................................
I know, right! It's just fucking @#$!@%#@#!!!!!
It's beyond imagination! More like Uber Humans!

Now that's as far as I got with this one Random Neurotic Discharge. More when I have another.
